FASHION – Public School NYC Spring 2016

New York Fashion Week Men’s is back in New York for the Spring/Summer 2016 designer collection presentations. My favorite new designers Dao-Yi Chow and Maxwell Osborne, from Street-savvy clothing company, Public School NYC, are showing why the’ve won 2 top CFDA Awards. They also currently serve as co-creative directors for DKNY.

Public School NYC’s fashionable street-wear tinged menswear, features a mash-up of athletic wear and crisp tailoring with soft jackets & trench coats, blazers & shorts and a monochromatic color scheme with black, white and navy. The show featured handsome tastemakers, models and style trendsetters Nick Wooster, Waris Ahluwalia and Twin Shadow Musician, George Lewis Jr. (who also did the presentation soundtrack.) The police lineup style set accented the monochromatic look.

The results are a cool combinations of baseball, skater, business man chic with a mix and match sensibility. Perfect for someone building a cohesive closet. Just add a piece at a time and work it into the lineup with an edge. Public School NYC is a line that is here to stay. Check out their full lineup on Style.com.
