WEEKLY BEAUTY FIND – Moisturizing Body Oils

Now is the time of year, while winter is still in full effect, that our skin is probably at it’s driest.  Besides using old school remedies like baby oil or Vaseline, there’s lots of options to alleviate the dry skin winter blues. Moisturizing body oils can do the trick to take away the dryness and add softness and suppleness to your skin. They can also be used as a great bath oil. Here are the 4 major types:

  1. Lotion Cream Oils – These lotions have added oils, rich in essential fatty acids and antioxidants and absorb quickly into the skin.
  2. Shimmery Scented Oils – These light oils contain moisturizing oils like almond, coconut, jojoba and manoi as well as light shimmers & scents.
  3. Dry Body Oils – Very light oils that are  lightly scented and absorb quickly into the skin for ultimate moisturizing.
  4. Specialty Oils – These oils have are beneficial in two ways: (1) help reduce the appearance of stretch marks, improve the appearance of old and new scars, improve uneven skin and blemishes and a great after sun soother or (2) it can be therapeutic with a warming effect.
