Tia Mowry graced the cover of this month’s issue to rave reviews. She looks amazing in some ruffled dresses (by Tiffany Fitzgerald) which fit her like a glove. I love ruffles. They are flirty and fun and can be a great feminine detail. They must be worn strategically, however, because too many ruffles and you can wind up looking like Liberace. The idea is to wear them sparingly to accentuate a positive feature.
- If you have a beautiful collarbone, a jacket with a ruffle at the collar will highlight your graceful neck.
- If you have a small to medium size chest, a ruffle will become a focal feature, and create the illusion of a more bountiful bust.
- If you are more top heavy, balance your top half with a ruffled skirt.
