10 Things about Zoe Colletti
You’re originally from Los Angeles and your brother is also an actor. Was it a pretty good guess that you too would also be in the same business?
Actually, not really! He was always the life of the party and as a little girl I was brutally shy! I never would’ve guessed that I’d wind up in the business as well!
Which actors inspired you to develop your craft and how did you initially get your start in the entertainment industry?
My brother is totally who inspired me to get into acting. He’s always been my built-in coach and I don’t know what I would do without him! I got my start doing commercials with him!
One of your biggest films was Annie where you played alongside Jamie Foxx, Cameron Diaz and Quvenzhane Wallis. What was your experience like working on that set with these seasoned actors?
Honestly, I loved working with them all, but Jamie Foxx was by far one of the most talented and down to earth people I’ve ever met. He’s also so hysterical and kept us laughing the entire shoot!
You’ve been working quite a bit and have played a variety of roles. Which types of characters are you most often drawn to playing?
I’ve been so lucky to play such a wide variety of characters so far! I love character acting and getting the chance to play someone so far from my real personality!
Currently, you’re on the AMC hit series, Fear The Walking Dead. How were you first introduced to the show and what was it about the script that made you excited to be a part of it?
I’ve been a fan of the Walking Dead universe since I was really little! Getting the opportunity to be a part of this world had been completely surreal!
On the show, you play the role of Dakota. What can you tell us about her personality and what you enjoy most about bringing her character to life?
I really enjoy how strong and cunning she is! There’s a lot of toughness behind her that I think will be shown more throughout the season! I especially love bringing to life the relationship between her and her sister Virginia!
How does Dakota fit in with the rest of the cast and what can we expect to see on this season?
One of the things I like about Dakota is that she doesn’t necessarily really fit in with the rest of the cast. She’s always been very sheltered from the world by her sister. Getting to see her blossom and be introduced to the rest of the cast that everyone loves, is super super cool!
If you weren’t acting, what type of career could you see yourself in?
I would absolutely get into the wardrobe aspect of the film industry. I love love love fashion and find it so incredible how they also have to really dive deep into the characters to bring them to life!
When it comes to fashion, which designers and styles appeal most to your personality?
I’ve always really walked to the beat of my own drum when it came to fashion. I love thrifting and kind of just throwing together what I feel like works! Kawaii style, street fashion, and vintage are definitely where I pull the most inspiration from!
We look forward to seeing your work on AMC’s Fear The Walking Dead. What other projects do you have coming up in the near future?
I have a Christmas movie called A Boy Called Christmas coming out, where I play the cheekiest little fairy called The Truth Pixie! I cannot wait for you guys to see all the hard work that’s gone into that movie! You’ll just have to wait until next Christmas to see it!!
