You’ve been acting for quite some time. We all remember your roles on JAG and Dirty Sexy Money. What made you think of being an actress in the first place?
I remember when I was a little girl, watching some black and white movie and telling my aunt Katie “I want to be inside the TV”.
Looking back on your career, did everything pan out the way you planned it out?
I’ve been a working actress for a long time now. The only time off I’ve had was by choice. That was my plan. When I go for something, I really go for it.

At some point, you took a break from acting to take care of your family, which is admirable. Did you pick up right where you left off or were there adjustments to be made?
It was bizarre to jump back into it, after being with my family and truly stepping away from Hollywood and that whole world. I booked NCIS: New Orleans very fast after my return. I can thank my dad for that. Before he passed, he told me I needed to go back to acting. He was right!
Welcome back! There’s some history with the NCIS franchise, since it was derived from JAG, which you were a part of. How does it feel to have been part of this TV lineage?
It’s an honor. They are all hit shows! I feel lucky.

How were you introduced to NCIS: New Orleans and what made you decide to jump on board?
It just felt so right. I’ve never been so sure about a role in my life.
You play the role of Meredith Brody. What are the many facets of your character and what do you enjoy about playing her the most?
Brody is strong. She’s coming out of her shell in New Orleans. My favorite sides to play with are the more personal sides; the relationship stuff is the best.

As the season draws to a close, what can fans expect from Meredith and the rest of the cast on the season finale?
They can expect us to continue catching the bad guys!
If you didn’t have this wonderful job as an actress, what career path would you take?
I would be a singer/songwriter, teacher, author, inspirational speaker, psychic reader, or kundalini yoga teacher.

When it comes to fashion, who are some of your favorite fashion designers and styles in your personal closet?
I honestly don’t have a favorite designer. I don’t shop very often and when I do it’s very random. The vibe I go for is classy/sexy/me. Whatever feels right on my body at the time.
We look forward to seeing how things play out on NCIS: New Orleans. What other projects do you have coming up?
Unfortunately, I can’t talk about that just yet. 🙂
